District Honor Chorus

Selected students work with a guest conductor to rehearse and perform a district-wide concert.

Transportation Details: Families are responsible for transportation to and from the event.

**If you would like to carpool with other families, please reply to this email and I will put the interested families in touch with each other.

Chaperones: Parent volunteers **** will be on-site throughout the day. 

***I would be very grateful if additional parents chaperone for any part of the event. Please reply to let me know if you can help! 

Attire: Our Formal Choral Concert Attire. Solid black pants or full-length skirt/dress, solid black shoes and socks, and solid black shirt, button down long-sleeve shirts preferred.  As of right now we will NOT be providing DHC t-shirts this year, but if that changes, I will let you know.  Students will have time to change prior to the concert so they do not have to wear their concert attire during rehearsals.

Mask Policy:  DeKalb County has a mask-optional policy currently in place.  If students elect to wear a mask during the performance, it must be solid black.

If you haven't already paid your $37 registration fee, you can pay it online here. (Be sure to write your student's name and District Honor Chorus in the reference line.)

8:15am-9:00am

School Check In (in front of ensemble rehearsal room)

9:00am-11:30am

Rehearsal #1

• Middle School SAB- Room TBD (15-minute break at 10:15pm)

• High School SATB- Room TBD (15 minute break at 10:30pm)

11:30am-12:30pm

Chick-fil-A Lunch in cafeteria. - students must bring their own water bottle

12:30pm-2:30pm

Rehearsal #2

• Middle School SAB- Room TBD (15-minute break at 1:30pm)

• High School SATB- Room TBD (15 minute break at 1:45pm)

2:30pm-3:00pm

Snack Break/ Change into Concert Attire

3:00pm-4:30pm

Rehearsal #3

• 3:00pm-3:40pm- Middle School SAB Choir on Stage

• 3:45pm-4:30pm- High School SATB Choir on Stage

**Return to rehearsal rooms following stage dress rehearsal

Doors to the DHS Auditorium Open (families should arrive early because these audiences are often full!)
